This Month I...

Had a Successful Degree Show

Gray’s Degree Show went swimmingly this year – bar some tech deck thefts! Our class received a bunch of awards and commendations, plus we made over £3000 in sales!

Won an Award

I was nominated for the RGU Art & Heritage Award, and didn’t win. However, Elizabeth and I jointly won the Four Pillar’s Collaborative Creative award for our work on Beyond The Grey. Leading to us being featured in the P&J!

Graduated with First Class Honours

We did it!

Resigned from Sainsbury's

After 4.5 years, I finally handed in my notice for the first time; leaving behind the security of a job I’ve had since 17. I’m sad to see the end of an era, and I’ll miss the people but I’m excited for pastures new.

Abandoned Aberdeen

No school, no job, no home. With no SAAS and council tax on the horizon, I’d be living with more expenses than income which means that I’ve had to move back in with the parents while I search for a full time career. So far I’m missing Aberdeen more than I expected to be honest, going from total independence back to the family home feels like a step backwards, although I know it’s not. I miss the friends, and the freedom, but I do enjoy having my meals cooked for me lol. I’m excited for whatever city comes next!

Visited London Again

After moving out, I went to visit my family in London – something I’ve not done since before uni. It was great catching up with everyone, and I got to meet four new baby cousins!

I took a trip into the big city for a day, and stumbled into Guildhall gallery which hosted a nice selection of modern artworks.

Became a Full Time Job Hunter

The job search is now in full swing, lots of cool opportunities are available but I know it’s gonna be a struggle trying to get a Junior role with no prior industry experience. Pray for me.

Started a Few Courses

Now that I have unlimited free time, I’d better take advantage of it. I’m utilising my university account before it expires, taking some online courses to develop my UX, SEO, and 3D skills.
